Zambia is a republic in south central Africa, formerly known as Northern Rhodesia. Bordered on the north by the Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly Zaire) and Tanzania on the east by Malawi on the southeast by Mozambique on the south by Zimbabwe, Botswana, and the Caprivi Strip of Namibia; and on the west by Angola. The area is 752,614 sq km (290,586 sq mi).

^ Comments : [ZAMBIAN AIRWAYS was formed as NORTHERN RHODESIA AVIATION and renamed to MINES AIR SERVICE in 1965. Mines Air Services Limited (MAS) was incorporated in 1948 as a subsidiary of Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines (ZCCM). It was then renamed to ROAN AIR upon privatisation in 1998 and then to it's current name in 1999. Became a BA franchise in early 2001. Domestic services and had hoped to utilise Comair's (part owner) B737-200 aircraft to Johannesburg. Suspended operations on 10Jan2009]
