HISTORY:
Established as a charter company under the name of Adria Aviopromet (Adria Airways). Its primary business at the time was to provide services from France, Germany, Scandinavia and the UK to resorts on the Adriatic. Its name was changed to Inex-Adria Airways in 1968 after aligning with Belgrade-based trading group Interexport, but it reverted to the original title after that association ended in May 1986.International scheduled services were added, first to Larnaca, in November 1983. In March 1996, Adria Airways completed its part-privatisation process.
