HISTORY:
Founded initially as a joint venture by British European Airways, the Cyprus government and private interests. Lost Nicosia base and several aircraft when Turkey invaded Cyprus in July 1974, but restarted limited operations from Larnaca on 8 February 1975. Established Eurocypria Airlines in 1992 to obtain greater share of the domestic charter market, and Hellas Jet in 2002 to target the Greek tourist market.
