HISTORY:
The airliner was founded on 30 August 1933, when Societe Centrale pour L’ Exploitation de Lignes Aeriennes purchased the assets of Compagnie Generale Aeropostale. After the Second World War, air transport was nationalised and Societe Nationale Air France was set up on January, 1946 followed by Compagnie Nationale Air France on 16 June, 1948. Commercial supersonic services were inaugurated simultaneously with British Airways in January 1976.
